Don’t send either account your SSN. The new account you can send all your Bitcoin to and I’ll give you 10% back, guaranteed. Verify my new account on Twitter if you trust that Elon didn’t get my Nostr private key and switch up my profile. Haha

I think optional is the only way to go. You could follow and hitch onto some people whom you respect their blocking preferences and others you could follow for other reasons. I think this would cut down on trolling as well. People with legit responses would be likely to be heard, trolls and definitely spam would fade. My prediction would be that you only hitch onto very specific muting accounts so you don’t over mute.

If I follow someone I should be able to hitch onto their block list. That way, when we block someone, it does work for our followers and visa versa. There could be certain accounts dedicated to certain block types/filters. That would quickly eliminate almost all of the problem IMO.

As a devout Christian, I largely agree. It sounds trite but I don’t think Jesus came to set up a religion as we know of the term. The church was little revolutionary outposts meeting in homes, sacrificing for their neighbors and living rich, meaningful lives. I don’t think tradition is all bad but it has certainly often distracted us from the core of Jesus’ teaching: love Gos and love our neighbors.

I mean, yes, if we think we are Jason Bourne, that’s not going to be a winning strategy for most of us. I agree that we should assume our privacy is compromised and therefore not break laws or be prepared to take the consequences of intentionally breaking laws. We put up roadblocks and do our best, hoping and praying incentives and technology shifts enough to bring freedom to future generations.

I believe it IS that simple npub1ul45aru . I have a worldview/religion that says that murdering people is always wrong. Making theoretical death calculations is not my job. I’m not God. Example, I could theorize that a daycare down the road is housing a future mass murderer. A few parents are super jacked up and are training their kids to kill. I cannot go kill all those children because I calculate that it will likely save more lives in the long run. I don’t know the future and I have no green light to kill. Honest question: where is your moral principle that gives you the right to kill innocent people? Do you subscribe to a religion that says this is okay?

Bombing a massive amount of innocent people because the rulers over them did bad things is pure evil. Go to bed and stop arguing such a preposterous thesis. You’re now muted.
